Belated posting

I don't even think those two words make sense together. Do they? Don't answer that, actually. Let's just pretend they do.

I'm sorry I was unable to post at 2am PST like normal! The video shoot went until about 2am and by the time I got home I had just enough in me to do the video blog and crash. The music video shoot was one of the most surreal experiences I've ever had. At one point there were about 50 people on set... ALL working on this video... for MY song! What is that?? Everyone was amazingly nice too. I'm going to put up some footage from the week in a few days once I can edit it.

As for the video itself, I haven't seen any of the actual footage, but from what I can tell it will be awesome! It's got a very surreal and whimsical feeling to it. The director had an awesome vision and I think it realized very well.

Well, I best get back to cd shipping. I'm sorry if you're waiting on an order! I'm doing the best I can.

@benfromcanada
i wont be able to post the music video before the super bowl, but i think i'm allowed to post my footage from the day so you can at least get an idea!
@miko
WOW. good story! haha. cool ranch was my favorite too. as far as booking fees go, it depends on what the show was, and then, of course, there's getting to chicago. if i could GET there, the fee wouldn't be SO significant, but i'd imagine the combined costs would be a little more annoying :(
@itmed
yes, 14 hours! but honestly, it was done before i knew it. it went by so fast.
@jesse b
thanks for being understanding about the blog! as for the cameras, they were top of the line. totally legit EVERYthing yesterday.
@jon
i'm half japanese as well. the other half is english, irish, french, dutch, welsh, scottish... in other words.. white? hooray for hapas.
@mike
i LOVE steer by missy higgins. perhaps i'll give it a go. thanks for featuring me on your site! i just checked it out, that's awesome.
@qwest905
large coffee on the house :)
@jim
i assure you there will be no janet jackson moments if my video airs, haha.
@annoymous
buy you a drank... not a bad idea. i'll see if i can pull it off.

Last night was SO MUCH FUN!! Picture this: a greenhouse built on the roof of a building in downtown LA... glowing funky old lamps nestled in the greenery, pulsing in time with the music... a guy following Kina around with a supermondo heat lamp to keep her from freezing... someone passing out hot quesadillas at midnight... a horde of very cool, friendly, creative, funny, people... I could get used to this.... now go get some sleep, Kina!!

Glad to hear that everything went well :)

@ mama g: did they build the greenhouse for the video? or did it already exist and it was just the perfect place to do it? either way, sounds like everyone had a great time, even if it went into the early morning.

oh yeah what kind of quesadillas were they?

What song was that? I didn't hear a title or anything in the beginning, although I may have missed it the several times I listened to it. Nor can I find it using snippets of the lyrics searching on google, nor was I able to match the lyrics to anything on your website. Although those 2 facts may be more due to my less-than-competent googling-abilities and my subpar ability to scan for specific words.

And just out of curiosity, do you autograph your CD's? Because you know, that'd be fantastic.

Ok, my bad, apparently my google-ing eventually paid off... Together is the song, correct? I'm kind of curious as to why it's on a Chinese version of youtube though. And do you plan to release it on CD any time soon?

I have fallen in love with each and everyone of your songs, just as a million other people may have. I actually found you on GH as well. Soon as I heard your voice, I just HAD to find out who it was. I found you on youtube and cannot stop listening to your music. I bought what I could on iTunes but need more!! Haha. Wondering, will you be putting "Our's to Keep" on your next album? I need to listen to that song on repeat but cant find it anywhere to download or purchase. =( I cant wait until you put out another CD. Again, I think you are AMAZING and just cant get enough of your music. "Strong Enough" is like my theme song now. I have it on my Myspace and saved as a fav on youtube. That song is really helping me cope with some things going on in my life right now. Thank you for that. Keep doing what you do and know you have a ton of fans for life!!!

Wow! that sounds amazing. I want someone to follow me around with a heater in this cold weather. And quesadillas? mmmm. Did the greenhouse have a beautiful view? I can't wait to see the video.

Ooh, I'm seconding ompa on the autographed CDs, since I'm also in the order queue. But sleep comes before CDs, ok?

Glad to hear things went well, and also glad you didn't edit the couple of false starts out of today's post, since it kind of showed your giddy exhaustion which made it more entertaining in a way.

Every time I watch your videos I am reminded how down to earth you are. Stay that way, regardless of famous you become

thanks for the large regular!!!

reading the other comments, it is quite funny since a good buddy of mine's brother actually did an acoustic version of "buy you a drank". This is his link
http://youtube.com/watch?v=u4FzJABChEU
You may enjoy his covers, he's pretty good.

The buddy of mine actually introduced me to your video, questioning if you were a "halfie". LOL he just adores half asian girls, so if you could say hello PAT, that would be great.

Thanks and keep it up and i'm enjoying the albums i purchased from itunes =)

I have to agree with ajsea, it's amazing how you have all of this going around you, yet you still stick to who you are as a person!

I don't know how it's not getting to your head, but I love it! :D
