LA Trip, Part 1

So today's video is a summary of all that went on last week in Los Angeles up until the totally awesome part-- making the music video.

Today i packaged SO many cds! You'd be proud. I was like a machine. So another big batch of you should be getting your cds soon!

all for now!

kina

@chris from austria
thank you for opening your emails!
@izrih
oh no! i'm sorry you had to go a whole day without a video! haha. i can't believe i failed you like that.
@ompa
i'm so glad you like genevieve! it will hopefully be on my next album.
@anonymous
very good. that IS girl on the left. some things never change.
@jen
i would love to sign your cds. just make sure you let me know when you order them or they might get lost in the shuffle!
@travis
i'd love to introduce you all to Teeny Bear. first... i need to find him. where is he?? i feel so neglectful!
@tim
AT THE LAKE!
@ompa... again :)
"in memory of the singing bridge" and "one more in the attic" are both fully acoustic albums. if more RAW is what you're looking for... unfortunately not :(
@j.c.
the 60 second clip that will be played will be a spliced up mini-video, so to speak
@travis
well said. that's exactly how the 60 second clip will be
@miko
loved your rhymes :) thanks for writing that. i'd love to hear it someday! my facebook messages are a little backed up right now but i'll try to get to it sometime soon!
@john garvey
young pilgrims? you shall have it. :) but it was better when yano and i played together...
@jim tsutsui
yes, my mom was always really supportive (my dad too). they encouraged us to sing, play around on instruments, and create a lot while growing up. i have one older sister and one younger sister :)
@anonymous
wowee. looks like we got some rap battles going down in here. well played.
@steveg
haha. perhaps it's time to do a current rendition of Teeny Bear

I am enjoying these videos immensely.... maybe you should forget about the contest and just videoblog for the rest of your life.....just for our enjoyment. It felt like this really captured the essence of your experience. I felt like I was right there. Can't wait for Part 2! Hopefully there's Part 3, Part 4, etc.! And I like how you like poke fun at like some of your like idiosyncrasies.

I love the view from your hotel room. Every night when you get back to the room, you should take in the view and yell "I own this town!" That's what I do.

Keep the energy and spirits up! You have a lot of fans voting for you!

I know I'm going to risk sounding a little pushy here, but I was curious if you have an expected release date for your next album. Mainly because I've developed unhealthy attachments to alot of the recent songs you've done.

Kina, I would also like to have signed CDs.
I already sent you some mails on your main address (I guess it is) regarding shipping prices to France, but I think you didn't have time to check all your mails.

It's amazing how you look like to my lost love. Each time I watch one of your video, you make my day ;)

ompa: be careful, the road to Kinaddiction is really short

I've been following your blog since the "Gotta Digg" song was posted on digg.com (where I've been a member since it was completely texted based.) and I'd just like to say this couldn't be happening to a more deserving person. I'm voting for you everyday. I know you will get there!

Better Kinaddicted than one of the various other addictions that have presented themselves (as opportunities, never attempted) over the course of my life. Besides, I'm pretty sure it's not illegal, considered a vice, a disease, or will completely consume me.

And at $24+S/H for all the CD's, a heck of a lot cheaper than most other addictions.

What you need to combine the two themes of yesterday's posts is Teeny Bear doing a rap, a la Rapcat. ;D

At the lake, know what I'm sayin'!

Hey Happas =)
Yea, my white half is mutt too, mostly english I think? My dad's side is the Japanese for me, and his parents actually met while in the ww2 concentration camps. I'm actually 4th generation in the states and don't know as much as I should about that half. Anyway, I was going to find you on facebook, but there were two Kina Grannis' there, so I didn't want to add to a fake person, is there any way you could find me? My name is Jon Katayama, there shouldn't be to many of those out there, haha. Keep doin' what you're doin',

Hey Kina, great video today! I love how you were meeting people for the first time with the video camera still rolling. Now thats true dedication...

Looks like you were having a awesome time, that was a sick hotel room they gave you! Gotta love the view...

I def think that when this is all done and over you should make a CD/Album of all the songs you have put together for us here on the blog.. I'm sure it would be a success, especially once your name is out...

Well keep on rockin, and don't stop talking... (wow, that was lame.. haha)

J.C.

Wow, I want your life right now, lol... a couple of things I noticed right away though is that Nivla looks like a lot better person... in person. Not sure if that's true? Also, it's so awesome to have like, everything done for you without even having to tell them to do it, them just wanting you, lol... I guess that's kind of like your fans though, eh?

Wow, that sounded wrong... anyway, I should get some sleep, lol :p

p.s. I still vote for you if you had doubts...

I hate to keep asking things of you Kina, but if you covered this song, it would make my day!

What the deuce? Ok, that last post by ompa wasn't well, me ompa. To remedy that problem, I suppose I'll just create an account on blogger...

Aw crap, I have 3+ posts in this single blog entry. I'm sorry, I'll try to busy myself with other activities.

This is inspiring. It's great to see your dream unfolding day by day. A lot of people are disillusioned, scared of failure, things of that nature, if only more were as dedicated, like you appear to be.

Good luck.

Are we gonna meet "Mama G" in an upcoming video? Reading her comment, her excitement is clear. I want to see her expressing that insanity on film.

Stay true,

Alan

I'm so looking forward to seeing this video! ...hmmm, although I can't see how it could be more entertaining than the ones you've posted. Hope I can catch a live performance. Plan on touring the Pacific NW?

@ajsea - as much as I hate to embarrass my daughter by making appearances (I'm a first-class doofus), maybe you'll get to see footage of me going bananas if Kina's music video plays during the Super Bowl. : )

kina,

enough of this madness, the real question that people want to know is

"what is your favorite type of dorito's chip?"

ok maybe i'm the only one that wants to know.

i'm excited to see the video, and for you in general.

take care
mark b
