wow... can you believe this?? 6 weeks of craziness... and now...???
i leave for phoenix on tuesday. the other 2 contestants and myself will be having lots of press-related meetings and fun dinners throughout the week (and lovely days that begin at 4:30 am!!!). somehow i need to completely flip my sleeping schedule in two days.
so after much debate, i've decided that i'm going to post again tomorrow. for now, we'll say i'll post every monday, but if i have more time, i will post in between as well :) i have some reallllly exciting news, but i'm going to save it for tomorrow!!
thank you thank you thank you all SO much for keeping me company throughout this time and being so wonderful and supportive. really, you made this possible. regardless of what happens, win or lose, i think we have a good thing going right here :) you are all amazing.

Aww, the last day to vote is here. Thanks Kina so much for the past month of videos. Every day I looked forward to your blog (usually when I woke up in the morning but more lately right before I go to bed). I'm sure no matter what happens that you will be famous one day, you are already almost there. :)
I was hoping you would pick Mondays as your official blog day. It will be a nice treat to look forward to.
Also, no one is going to forget about you. You have made so many fans from this contest, I'm sure everyone will continue to check out how things are going for you. You are so different from the other artist out there and a lot of people can pick up that vibe. It's nice and refreshing to see someone like you get out there in the limelight.

You are a star, you will never be forgotten. Traffic will ebb and flow, but that is net life. Personally, I think twice weekly would be the absolute best, Monday/Friday or something similar. Break the monotony of the weekly grind with your bright and beautiful punctuation.

Awwww...I am gonna miss the blog...the everyday blog...This was always the first thing I would do when I got on the computer...Come listen/Read your blog...Im kinda sad to see it end...But that just means your are that much closer to winning the contest. As for which day to continue doing the blog on...I really don't care. I will look forward to that day for the blog.

initial gut reaction - post videos on Mondays because mondays are the worst because they are the first day of the work week...
BUT! you know when your videos would be the most impactful to bring happiness... SUNDAY NIGHT.. at around 9PM or 10PM... why? because at 9PM or 10PM is when "HOLY WOW, monday is tomorrow... crap" sinks in with that yucky feeling... that has been that way since college, since high school, (OMG since elementary school!)
so yeah, my vote is....

i was just curious myself on the other two contestants (landon and nivla which is ALVIN spelled backwards)
omg, they couldn't even hold a candle to you (btw... that's a phrase i JUST learned earlier this year, which i have used it at least once every 3 days... it's currently "my favorite most forced and overused yet sounds so good saying it" phrase. hahahaha
if views on youtube are a great indicator of who is going to win this whole shabang (ha!) then you will definitely win... because.. they... can't hold a candle... or any candle to you hahaha
oh yeah, going to the bathroom or leaving the TV regarding commercial breaks between playing time... that should definitely NOT be a concern... this is the day.. the only day perhaps where people actually ANTICIPATE watching a commercial. there are actually two programs during superbowl sunday.
1. the superbowl
2. the commercials (which go for more than one mil a pop) so people will definitely not going to the bathrooms, if anything they will go to the bathroom when the patriots are up 32-3 or something. haha
ok, so i think your fans at least on here have become attached to this whole "conversation"
so when you win and 90,000,000 log in to your blog and start commenting. i as i am sure many others will be totally understanding if you cannot reply to us personally as you do now... this was the coolest interaction with a celebrity/almost celebrity i have ever had... unless you count the time i met Scottie Pippen in the bathroom of a restaurant... twice... on two different days.

By the way, Super Bowl advertising costs $3 million for a 30-second slot this year. Doritos is incredible. Imagine a company giving away a 60-second spot during the Super Bowl, and to an unknown artist. Just to help. I thank Doritos for the opportunity that allowed all of us to get to hear Kina. It wouldn't have happened otherwise.

I agree with sparky. (Why do I feel like I just agreed with a dog? No offense, Sparky) it would be fun to try to do a joint video with the other contestants.

I agree with Sparky and Alan. I think a collaboration of the 3 groups/musicians would be fun for all the fans to hear. It would show people that even though each finalist wants to win this competition, there's no hating going on. From what I can see, he/she/they have put their energy into promoting themselves,not slinging mud like some were doing in the first round of voting. That was kind of childish and unprofessional.

OF COURSE Kina would love to see her video play during the Super Bowl, but she also has great respect for the other two contestants and their musical abilities. Last night she answered her email while listening to all of their music and I actually catch her walking around the house singing "Waitin" and (limited parts of, for obvious reasons!) "Koi Naa".
These past 6 weeks have been such a great experience for our family. Thanks to everyone for supporting Kina!! *hug*

You could always do some text-only posts if you're pressed for time, especially if that might get you to post more. And try to keep us updated in whatever way you can if you're going to be on TV in the next week (outside of the commercial I mean).
As for things overall, I have to echo the regulars (miko, j.c., ompa). I think we all feel spoiled by the personal attention you've given us over the last few weeks, and naturally we don't want it to end. So while you think we might forget about you, we're more concerned (in a really good way) that you're going to get so huge that this kind of attention, even on a weekly basis, will just be impossible. I mean, as miko points out, 90 million people commenting will just be too many! You could respond to 50, 60 million, tops! But seriously, I'd guess that more than 100 (not 100 million, just 100.00) would probably be too many to keep things cozy. But all of us on here realize that's going to happen, because you're just too amazing to be our little secret for much longer.
So go get 'em Kina. You're loved even more than you could possibly realize! I do hope I get to meet you someday, but even if I do I'll probably just freeze and say nothing like the big dork that I am, so I'll just make a deal with you and keep posting as long as you do.
Now i don't know what to do every morning
no more emails or messages on facebook and i cant go to your blog looking for a new video everyday. At least you will be blogging at least once a week. the next mission should be getting an episode of diggnation in mission viejo. it was very enjoyablevoting and telling everyone to vote for you for the last 5 weeks.

I have been reading your comments and listening to your music everyday. You are so inspirational and Im completely sure you'll win. Even if you dont (but im sure you will) feel good in knowing that you inspired so many people to not be afraid to express themselves and actually BE HAPPY! Wow, I couldn't be more impressed with what you've done. You have created one of the most positive environments I have seen in a long time. It's simply amazing how much personal attention you have given to this community. I can't imagine any other artist putting some much time and effort into their fans. I found myself almost wanting you not to win just to keep this alive. Then I felt guilty so I went and created 10 extra myspace accounts to throw a couple more votes your way.
I look forward to seeing a live show again and I'll be tuning in to see the video on the 3rd.

So, it's over. Well, sort of. It's been great, to be part of this six (?) week. I'm gonna miss it, usually this was my first thing to read at work, before my mails, even before my favourite band's forum (hope they don't read this :) ).
And we won't forget you, you have 2800+ subscribers, you sent out hundreds of cd's, so there is plenty of people, who won't.
I'm with j.c. also, do the blog on that day which is okay for you. Hope, sometime you'll be able do a cd containing the covers you did (or just a few of them as a bonus track on your folowwing cd's)
