Making the Video: Part I
WOW. I am so dead. Yoga seems so lovely and gentle, and then BAM, you're crippled, just like that.
Ok, I admit, that wasn't a fair review. The truth is, yoga is actually pretty darn awesome, but it's so awesome that it kills me. And perhaps I could be in slightly better shape as well...
I was going to do "LA: Part II" and finish it all up for today, but I am way too dead from yoga. So instead of having an "LA: Part II", I'm now going to have "Making the Video" (Parts I & II).

I have to admit, the unintentional(?) butt shot at around 4 seconds followed by your awed face made me laugh...

Yoga is awful, it killed me at least twice before I quit it. Love this video.
That shot of you walking by the road with the guitar case reminds me of the scene at the beginning of Desperado where Antonio Banderos is walking by the road with a guitar case. Are you packing pistols, sawed off shotguns, and grenades in yours? That would be a crazy video if you went around shooting and blowing up things. Kind of a Coyote Ugly meets The Terminator vibe. Doesn't match the mood of your song though. Oh well, I'm sure your video is still awesome!
hah! the thought of kinanator with a flamethrower makes me stupid-giggly. although she could totally pull it off. come to think of it, you've never done the robot (on here at least)!! personally, i think kina + domo arigato mr. roboto + a few badical robot/funky chicken moves = awesome. but that's just me :)

Hmm.. the walking with guitar scene didn't remind me of Desperado but it did remind me of another artist. You should check it out, her name is YUI and I suppose she would be JPop, though her music is more acoustic. The music video is called "I Remember You" : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vrORtLwMMY
YUI is always walking around with her guitar; showing the companionship a musician can have with their musical instrument. I think it's pretty cute and glad to see that your director thought of the same thing.
Can't wait for Part IIb or Part IIa tomorrow. :)
Wow that's awesome... I'm glad you had a director that really wanted to make your song stand out for what it is, rather than just be some weird flashy lights doritos ad type thing...

if the patriots and packers make the superbowl you have at least 100million viewers viewing your commercial. this is one of the best superbowl matchups in over a decade. packers vs patriots, favre vs brady. everyone is tuning in, even grandmas who don't watch football.
if the chargers and giants make it, that 100 million will shrink down to around 70 million viewers. which also isn't bad, but packers and patriots will do all the marketing for you.
and if 1 out of every 10 viewer buys your cd, that's 10million, THAT's MULTIPLATINUM. that's you on MTV cribs in like 4 months.
so when brady throws that perfect pass to moss for a TD, and when favre knocks out the giants this weekend, let that champagne flow. because

What's the painting(?) that's behind you at your computer (or wherever it is that you are)?
That drawn out ending was very suspenseful... kind of like watching the credits to the bitter end just in case they decide to put some little surprise in.... or like Ferris Bueller, where he pops up and says" It's over... go home now". But sadly, there was no Kina popping up at the end.
Regarding the overlayed text on the video:
What does "She made my stylish" mean, and shouldn't Mama G get most of the credit for making you pretty?

kina i think after every post u should link the www.crashthesuperbowl.com link so people can just click it and vote. it might get you more votes for ppl who are lazy to look around the page or type it in. just a thought.

"memory of the singing bridge" is my favorite of your selections on the three CD set. (I was surprised to see your music video was on this, i thought you were going to record "message from your heart."
I love it when your songs tell a story in a narrative. "memory" is kind of haunting and it makes me think of someone who is gone and missed.
